At a launch at London’s BAFTA venue, Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, Xiaomi, has announced two new 5G phones - the Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro, as well as a 5G version of the Xiaomi 11 Lite.
Xiaomi 11T Pro
According to Xiaomi, the 11T Pro offers 100% charge in just 17 minutes. The super-fast charging is thanks to technologies including dual-cell battery structure, dual charge pumps, Graphene application on Li-ion battery and Mi-FC technology.
The new 5G phone, which features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, boasts a triple camera with 108MP wide angle, 2x telemacro, and a 120° ultra-wide angle lens. It’s good for video too, with one-click AI Cinema modes, 8K recording and HDR10+, which allows footage capture with the same smart ISO technology found in digital cameras. Xiaomi says the 11T Pro: "empowers you to turn the special moments in your everyday life into Cinemagic."
Other features include True Display, which automatically adjusts the colour temperature according to the surrounding conditions. There’s also Dolby Vision as well and dedicated dual speakers.
The Xiaomi 11T shares the same 108MP triple camera set-up as the Pro version. There's a range of great AI cinema modes including Magic Zoom, Time Freeze and audio zoom - where the sound fades in and out as the zoom moves in and out.
As you’d expect, the chipset is different from the Pro version – the 11T has a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Ultra processor. There’s no 120W fast charging system on this 5G phone, but the 5000mAh battery and together with 67W wired turbocharging, means it takes a still speedy 36 minutes to be fully recharged.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G
Xiaomi has added 5G technology to it’s Mi 11 Lite and upgraded performance, design, and display, making it a strong contender in the affordable 5G phone market. It features a sleek, slim design, 90Hz AMOLED display and Snapdragon 780G chipset.
