Intel and MediaTek partner for 5G PCs

Intel has decided to partner with MediaTek to develop, certify and support 5G solutions for the next generation of PC devices, with the first products are set to be available in early 2021.

As part of the partnership, Intel will define a 5G solution specification, including a 5G modem, to be developed and delivered by MediaTek. And Dell and HP are expected to be the first to deliver laptops enabled with Intel and MediaTek’s 5G solution.

A new 5G era for PCs 

5G is set to be one of the most significant network transformations in history. This transformation will open the door for some amazing new PC experiences, and enable us all to be more connected than ever. Intel believes that 5G will provide the building blocks for all of these new experiences on PC.
